Stephanie Gilezan

Stephanie Gilezan began her commercial real estate career at just 21 years old and quickly became a force in the industry. After struggling to find a mentor who would commit the time to teaching her, she promised herself that she would dedicate her career to helping others. That promise has shaped her entire approach to business. Today, Gilezan is a successful land developer, owns and operates a real estate team in the top 5% of producers in Kentucky and Indiana and is the director of growth at eXp Commercial, the commercial real estate division of eXp World Holdings, Inc. 

Gilezan played an integral role in the launch of eXp Commercial in November 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. While few are able to lead a business through a successful launch in the midst of a global pandemic and economic hardship, Gilezan’s competitive instincts and resilient work ethic led her to accept the challenge. As a result of Gilezan’s efforts, eXp Commercial has become one of the fastest-growing commercial real estate brokerages to ever launch. 

Fueled by her passion to help agents at eXp and throughout the industry become successful through education and collaboration, Gilezan focused her first effort at eXp Commercial on launching a free commercial real estate training program. The training program is open to all real estate licensees and offers them a chance to earn a certification from the National Commercial Real Estate Association (NCREA). Since launching the course in December 2020, more than 1,500 agents have earned the NCREA certification. She followed that effort by implementing the eXp Commercial eXcelerate Program, a four-week program partnering new agents with seasoned advisors to learn the basic fundamentals of building a successful real estate career.

Under Gilezan’s guidance, no need goes unaddressed. One of her most recent efforts at eXp Commercial includes negotiating an exclusive partnership with Enriched Data to build an advanced data platform that allows eXp agents to complete broker price opinions (BPOs) and valuations on almost any property in the U.S. in minutes. Additionally, Gilezan is collaborating with leading global ESG experts to develop ESG scoring on properties in the U.S. so eXp agents will have the ability to perform ESG audits and scoring for property owners. “Just as credit scores drive the rate at which we borrow money, ESG scores will drive the rate at which we value property,” Gilezan explained.

Gilezan also worked with AIR CRE to build commercial contracts and forms for 43 U.S. states, in addition to the existing seven states they originally serviced. “When Stephanie reached out to me about how she could arrange and assist AIR CRE in the ability to offer commercial contracts and forms in all 50 states, I didn’t believe her, but here we are 12 months after her initial phone call, and we are almost complete. I have never experienced this level of determination and skill in an individual,” Tim Hayes, CEO, AIR CRE.

As the director of growth at eXp Commercial, Gilezan oversees the ancillary partnerships, technology and growth of eXp Commercial domestically and internationally. She has been a licensed broker her entire career with over 23 years of experience growing and managing real estate brokerages. Gilezan specializes in building real estate firms, scalability, license law, as well as product specialties in industrial, land, multi-family, bank asset liquidation, retail and offices.
